Watershed management

A healthy watershed will give you the clean water you need.  We can assist you in your watershed management.  Rather than just controlling point source discharges, our holistic approach to watersheds allows for additional improvements in water quality.  Managing water resources through an integrated, watershed-based approach identifies the most equitable and cost-effective water quality improvement strategies, by balancing point source and non-point source pollution, and the protection of water supplies and other sensitive natural resources. Water quality strategies might include the use of TMDLs, BMPs, NPS controls, and NPDES permit restrictions.

The issues involved in watershed management may involve a number of political jurisdictions and regulatory programs, and affect multiple stakeholders. Addressing these issues in a comprehensive manner requires a true multidisciplinary approach that integrates the expertise of chemists, biologists, ecologists, ecotoxicologists, geologists, hydrologists, soil scientists, engineers, statisticians, modelers, computer scientists, land use planners, and policy analysts. We specialize in assembling teams of in-house professionals in these fields who have extensive experience in a wide array of watershed management issues, including watershed protection plans, stormwater master plans and source water protection plans.
