ARCADIS is the Program/Contract Administrator for the design and construction of Henrico County's 55 million gallons per day (mgd) water treatment plant and water transmission system. The 55 mgd water treatment plant project includes rapid mix basins, flocculation basins, two-tiered sedimentation basins and ozone generating facilities, filters, a one million gallon clearwell, chemical storage and feed systems, various piping systems, an operations building with control center, maintenance facilities, laboratory space and offices. The 26,300 linear feet of 54-inch water transmission pipe line includes connections to the existing distribution system and tunneled road crossings. The 6,800 linear feet of 48-inch water transmission pipe line includes connections to the existing distribution system and tunneled road crossings. Also included in the project are 9,500 linear feet of 24-inch water mains and a zone pressure reducing station.
