ARCADIS and REACH
ARCADIS Global Product Stewardship team provides the full spectrum of technical and management services related to the European Union's Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals Program (REACH). The team at ARCADIS has been preparing for REACH since 2002. Currently, we provide customized REACH awareness seminars ranging from two days on site to a "webinar" of a few hours.
How We Help Our Clients
We work with our clients to inventory and evaluate a REACH implementation strategy based on their business strategy to maximize flexibility while reducing costs. We perform data gap analyses for specific substances or groups of substances. We collect and interpret the best and most current toxicological datasets and use them to classify substances according to GHS guidance. We collect and summarize vertebrate study "banks" for clients in preparation for the Substance Information Exchange Forums (SIEF) work. We provide REACH support tools (e.g., flowcharts, one-page summaries, legislation interpretation, REACH program management tools). We are fully involved in the preparation of chemical safety assessments for our multinational clients. To assist clients in meeting their SIEF obligations, we attend meetings, workshops and symposia to keep a finger on the pulse of developments that may impact our clients as they prepare to comply with REACH.
Keeping Up To Date
We work cooperatively with experts in complementary fields like information technology (IT) and legal firms, and we have close interactions with The European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC), The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), global scientific societies such as the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) and Academia that keeps ARCADIS up-to-date and a reliable and sought after partner for our clients.
