Jacksonville, FL
In November 1993, The City of Jacksonville was selected as the home of the newest NFL expansion team, the Jaguars. In less than two years a new sports complex would need to be designed and constructed. ARCADIS was selected by the city to assist in achieving this ambitious goal. As the planners, engineers and landscape architects for the stadium complex, ARCADIS provided a range of services. Master planning for the 150-acre urban area included a roadway alignment study and design; traffic and pedestrian circulation patterns analysis; and parking distribution recommendations. Engineering services included over $22 million in improvements to utilities, stormwater systems, environmental permitting and parking areas. Hardscape, signage and landscape design were provided throughout the entire complex.
