Los Angeles Harbor College — Construction Management
Wilmington, CA

The Los Angeles Community College District established the Proposition A bond program which was funded through a $1.245 billion local general-obligation bond passed on April 10, 2001. The program addressed a portion of the estimated $1.593 billion in needs as documented in the facilities report for the accreditation and planning committee (dated Nov. 13, 2000).

To maximize the effective use of bond funds, the district hired a program manager and nine college project managers to manage the work at each campus. ARCADIS was selected as the college project manager for the Los Angeles Harbor College program.

ARCADIS is providing the following services for this ongoing project:

  • Project and construction management
  • Project, cost and schedule controls services
  • All other duties necessary to oversee and manage the planning, programming, design, construction and close-out of over 26 projects on the college's site
ARCADIS is also the day-to-day liaison with the college president reporting on the progress of the work, including new construction, modernization and site-improvement work.
