At the Rio Vista Boat Facility in California, ARCADIS provided a fixed price for remediation and guaranteed regulatory closure. Rio Vista is the first Department of Defense site to reach environmental regulatory closure for a guaranteed fixed price with insurance contract. We successfully worked with three different regulatory agencies to achieve site cleanup and accelerated the transfer of this U.S. Army property to the Town of Rio Vista by three years. In addition to providing a guaranteed and insured solution, the contract was awarded at a competitive/cost saving price, as compared to the USACE base cost estimate for the project.
