BCDC, together with a consortium of leading Dutch researchers and consultants - together making up the Delta Alliance - conducted a joint study on the impact of sea level rise on the San Francisco Bay. The results of the study and adaptation strategies for shoreline development will be presented at the symposium, and new ideas for future cooperation in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, the San Francisco Bay of California, and the Delta in the Netherlands will be explored.

The last hour of the event will include a discussion by Kees Slingerland, Chairman of the Delta Alliance, on "Proposals for Future Cooperation" and a panel discussion on the agenda for future collaboration, including high level representatives from California and the Netherlands.
