Denver, Colo. – Nov. 9, 2006 – ARCADIS (NASDAQ: ARCAF, EURONEXT: ARCAD) is pleased to announce Richard Murphy has joined ARCADIS' Denver office as senior scientist.

In his new position, Murphy will focus on providing analytical chemistry and geochemistry technical leadership to site evaluation, hydrogeology and remediation project teams to support the development of remedial strategies. Murphy will be developing environmental forensic and quality assurance programs in support of our client's requirements.

With over 27 years experience in environmental science and engineering, analytical chemistry and forensic science, Murphy serves as a national resource for environmental forensics, method development, and database analysis and management.

With a PhD from Colorado School of Mines, a master's degree in environmental science and engineering and two bachelor of science degrees, Murphy is an expert in his field and as such, has provided litigation support and expert witness testimony. Murphy has authored multiple industry white papers and has been a guest speaker at numerous chemical and environmental conferences and EPA workshops.
