Richard Martinez, P.E. Joins ARCADIS as Department Manager of Land Resources  
 

Tucson, Ariz. – Feb. 23, 2007 – ARCADIS (NASDAQ: ARCAF, EURONEXT: ARCAD) is pleased to announce that Richard L. Martinez, P.E., has joined our Tucson office as department manager in our land resources group. Martinez will focus primarily on project management for land resources including tentative plats and improvement plans, drainage report submittals, and coordinating with project related regulatory agencies in southern Arizona. He will also be directly involved with marketing our water resources and land development services.

“Richard brings local experience and knowledge to his new position with ARCADIS. With over 20 years experience with project management, design, and construction, Martinez is known for providing effective and efficient solutions for new development projects, expansions to existing facilities, and client challenges while working with review agencies,” said Scott Brown, ARCADIS area manager.
Martinez is a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering, and holds master of science degrees in planning and civil engineering from the University of Arizona. He also maintains graduate student status for a Ph.D. in watershed management with the school of renewable natural resources at the University of Arizona. A licensed professional engineer in New Mexico and Arizona, Martinez is currently the president of the Arizona section of the American Society of the Civil Engineers and a member of the American Water Works Association.

Martinez previously served as a department director and a construction project manager where he was responsible for large private development projects, and capital improvement projects in excess of $7 million. He has successfully managed projects that have included land development design, water transmission design and construction, and educational institution facilities design and construction.
