Eugene Peck joins ARCADIS as Technical Expert for Environmental Restoration  
 

ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consulting, design and engineering company, announced today that Eugene Peck, P.G., LEED-AP has joined the company as a Technical Expert specializing in environmental restoration.  He will be located in ARCADIS' Hartford, Connecticut office.

Eugene is an expert in coastal zone/watershed management and sustainability policy, sediment management, and restoration.  He specializes in resource evaluation, impact/ liability assessment, monitoring, regulatory processes, permitting, and project management and has applied his expertise to a variety of national and international environmental restoration and planning projects.

"Gene represents yet another high-powered professional that we've recently added to our team of sediment and sustainability experts," said Bob Romagnoli, ARCADIS Vice President.  "His talents are extremely diverse and we look forward to utilizing them in further enhancing our client-focused business model."

Eugene has a 25-year career serving clients representing government, industry, and scientific organizations that advance environmental management.  Most recently he served as a Principal Environmental Scientist for URS Corporation.  There, he directed planning and permitting for port development and estuarine restoration projects, and was the national practice leader for URS's corporate sediment services practice.  His background also includes working for other environmental consulting firms including Land Information Resources and Sasaki Associates.

 Mr. Peck earned a B.A. in Geology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an M.E.S. in Coastal & Watershed Systems from the Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.  He is affiliated with several organizations including the New York Academy of Sciences, the American Society of Civil Engineers Coast, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute, and the Society of American Military Engineers.
