Denver, Colo. – July 12, 2007 - ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD) is proud to announce that Dr. Suthan Suthersan, PE will launch his new column titled “Advances in In Situ Remediation” in the Summer and Winter issues of Ground Water Monitoring and Remediation, the journal of the National Ground Water Association (NGWA, www.ngwa.org.). The journal is currently in its 27th year of publication.

Dr. Suthersan, an ARCADIS senior vice president, is responsible for the firm’s site evaluation and remediation business practice in the U.S. His ground-breaking book, Remediation Engineering, published in 1996 set the standard for the in situ remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater. He is the author of two additional books, Natural and Enhanced Remediation Systems and In Situ Remediation Engineering, and has been awarded eight patents for remediation technology applications.

“It is a privilege to have been invited to contribute to this prestigious and respected journal on a regular basis,” stated Dr. Suthersan. “I will be sharing my experiences, and those of many of my world-class colleagues, to shift the paradigms within the arena of in situ remediation.”

The NGWA (formerly National Water Well Association), a non-profit organization founded in 1948, is dedicated to advancing the expertise of all ground water professionals and furthering ground water awareness and protection through education and outreach. Current membership exceeds 14,000. This year’s NGWA Expo, December 4-7 in Orlando, Florida, offers panel discussions, workshops, hands-on training and an exhibit hall showcasing the newest products and technologies in the ground water industry.
