ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international design, consulting, engineering and management services company, today announced that as per April 20, 2009, Mr Nicolas Simonin has been appointed to the position of CEO of the French operations of ARCADIS. In that role he succeeds Yann Leblais, who assumed the position of Global Director Infrastructure for ARCADIS earlier this year.

Mr Simonin, a Frenchman, has held several management positions at Jacobs, a U.S. based consulting engineering firm. His last position was with Jacobs Southern Europe where he was Vice-President of Business Development for France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Morocco.  Mr Simonin is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the international consulting and engineering field, particularly in chemicals, manufacturing, oil and gas, as well as energy and hospitals. He was also a member of the Board of Jacobs France.
