ARCADIS Names Mark Fletcher Program Manager for Munition Services  
 

ARCADIS, an international environmental and engineering services consulting firm, announced that Mark Fletcher has been named Program Manager for Munitions Services in the Huntsville, Alabama office.

Mr. Fletcher brings 22 years of experience in project management, health and safety, environmental compliance, and multidisciplinary assessments and remediation related to unexploded ordnance and chemical warfare materiel. He brings a rare combination of skills to ARCADIS as a graduate of the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal School and as a Certified Safety Professional. Mr. Fletcher's experience spans the globe having performed munitions cleanup and related projects throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).

In this new role, Mr. Fletcher will be leading ARCADIS' efforts to provide comprehensive munitions services to our military CONUS and OCONUS clients under the Department of Defense's (DoD) Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP). As a preferred provider of performance-based remediation services under the DoD's Installation Restoration Program, ARCADIS is broadening its service offering to include munitions cleanup to meet our client's growing MMRP requirements.

Before joining ARCADIS, Mr. Fletcher was employed by ECC in Huntsville, AL, as a program manager and a senior project manager. Prior to that, he served as a project manager, and program environmental and safety manager at Tetra Tech FW in Huntsville, AL, and as a site manager for Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Denver.  He also served in various capacities for Environmental Hazards Specialists International, Inc., Mike Baker & Associates, Alliant Techsystems, Inc., and EG&G. Mr. Fletcher also served in the U.S. Navy for four years as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician.

He holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, a master's degree in occupational health and safety engineering from Columbia Southern University, and a master's degree in business administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
