Boston, Mass. – June 21, 2007- ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), is pleased to announce that Samuel Farnsworth, LSP, project director and Richard Adams, P.G., principal scientist have joined the environmental practice in our Boston office.

In his new position, Farnsworth will represent ARCADIS to prospective and current clients, working closely with them to make sure their needs are met. He will be responsible for the budgeting, scheduling and completion of ARCADIS projects.

Farnsworth comes to ARCADIS with over 20 years of experience as a geologist and project manager for various engineering and manufacturing firms. His experience as a client advocate for federal and state projects makes him a strong addition to the ARCADIS team. Farnsworth holds a bachelor’s in environmental science from the University of Massachusetts and a bachelor’s in management and marketing from Clarkson College of Technology. He is a member of multiple railway associations and has been a long standing member of the Society of American Military Engineers. He is a registered Site Professional in Mass. 

As principal scientist, Adams will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, managing ARCADIS project teams and offering his talents to various remediation and environmental projects.

Adams has over 14 years of experience as project manager for remediation projects across the United States. His involvement included designing, implementing and overseeing field investigations for major petroleum facilities and rail yards. Adams holds a master’s in environmental science and a bachelor’s in environmental science from the University of Massachusetts. He is a member of the Environmental Bankers Association and a registered professional geologist in New Hampshire.
