ARCADIS, an international consulting and engineering company, today announced that its Atlanta office has pledged a total of $32,465.72 to the United Way as part of its 2008 drive. This exceeded the branch's $26,000 pledge goal and is a reflection of personal pledges, direct donations, event proceeds and ARCADIS matching funds.

According to John Hensley, ARCADIS southeast region infrastructure manager, the ARCADIS organization prides itself on giving back to local communities, including non-profit organizations such as the United Way. "This philosophy is exemplified by the generosity of our employees," Hensley added. The Atlanta office employs over 200 people.

"United Way is grateful for our partnership with ARCADIS and its employees, who continually show a commitment to creating a lasting impact in our community," said Megan Egan, area director of United Way in Cobb County. "Not only has ARCADIS' corporate fundraising campaign grown significantly over the past six years, but ARCADIS employees have increased their participation in United Way programs such as the Women's Legacy Shoebox Project and School Tools for Cool Kids.
